A musical production presented by Branson Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

From the short story "Miracle of the Lamb"

Music and lyrics by: Rod Phillips.

First performed in 1998, The Christmas Lamb is a 75-minute musical in two acts, with music and story by Branson Christian Church music director Rod Phillips.

It is set in 1933, in a small Ozark community and centers on the Tipton family, poor sharecroppers, as Christmas approaches.  We first meet the family and community at a holiday pie supper in the schoolhouse.  Later, we journey to the Tipton's small farmhouse where sisters Sarah, age 12, and Rachel, age 6, are excited about Christmas but concerned about their sick lamb.  They had run into a conflict at the pie supper and seek help from a local St. Nicholas and their Uncle Jess to fix things and give them hope.  Hope comes in the form of a miracle, a visit from angels, and some help from Uncle Jess.
